Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches about the choices and craft involved in making festivals work, from programme design to the practical life of shared spaces.
What to pitch
Propose an evergreen subject that gives readers a useful way to understand, compare or plan something. A strong idea has a defined reader, a focused question and a main takeaway that can be explained without unsupported statistics, first-hand testing or professional advice.
What to include
Describe the proposed angle, why it belongs with Active Festival Review, the points you would cover and any relevant experience or sources you can bring. Tell us if the idea has been published or offered elsewhere. Avoid broad proposals that could become many unrelated articles.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication; do not send confidential material or assume a response by a particular date.
